And how do you know we wont contend with our current core? What evidence have you got? Only thing you accept as an option is tanking and picking players high on the draft. Why is it that you cannot see any other option?Winning is only a reward if we contend. We haven’t contended since the late 90’s, 24 years. What’s the point of empty wins. All they are.
ROTFL!! What fantasy land do you live in??And how do you know we wont contend with our current core? What evidence have you got? Only thing you accept as an option is tanking and picking players high on the draft. Why is it that you cannot see any other option?
Answer is:
You dont believe in our current players and that they can win big games. You want other players you can believe in. However, those guys coming from the draft, what are the guarantees with them?
Might I offer an alternative:
Maybe give these guys the benefit of the doubt. They have given you every chance to believe they are much better than advertised... so maybe take that chance and actually cheer for the team?
I live in reality. I see a bunch of guys who are intriguing and playing better than expected. I dont know if they can or cannot win in the playoffs.... nor do I pretend to know, like you do.ROTFL!! What fantasy land do you live in??
Look I fully understand the draft is a crap shoot, but it’s the only way we are getting stars, the only way. Markkanen though a good player isn’t a star. Clarkson, not a star, Sexton, not a star. In what fantasy land is this team as constructed a contender? But hey, I’m sure Kevin Durant is just biting his time just waiting to sign with us. Lol

We could have had Jimmer.
This is a lazy answer.

Sure, no one can see the future but no one outside of jazz fandom would say we have any kind of chance. LolI live in reality. I see a bunch of guys who are intriguing and playing better than expected. I dont know if they can or cannot win in the playoffs.... nor do I pretend to know, like you do.
Lol, he hasn’t been the #1 option, he doesn’t even shoot the most on the team and Beasley and Sexton who both come off the bench are on par with him. He doesn’t have the killer instinct to be a star. Maybe in the future he develops that, but that doesn’t change the fact we should’ve tanked this year. Guys like Agbaji and Simone should be playing more to see what we truely have.On paper, Markkanen does not have many things working against him... so stating he cannot blossom into a star seems foolish. He is for the first time put to a situation where is the #1 option the opponent is trying to take away.. and he seems to be producing pretty nice numbers regardless.
He’s 9th if 3pt %. He’s lacking superstar usage because he refuses to. Not because of sharing the ball. We have moments of sharing. And due to our system of sharing... he isnt getting the touches and FGA the elite guys do. He is literally #1 in the NBA in 3P% and has elite efficiency inside... just lacking superstar usage. His average rank in all advanced all-around stat categories was what 12th best in the NBA? And some of those stats reward higher volumes...
Lol just lol not much more to say there.Superstars are really made in the playoffs. Lets get these guys there and see if we have one...
I’m Merrily pointing out we aren’t signing a star, that we have to draft one.PS: Durant is a bad example. He has 2 chips, both with Steph, Draymond and Klay. Lots of OP Big 3 teams with KD+other stars around him have just blatantly failed.
I’m sure that one % chance of that happening will come in the next few yearsStockton and Malone 16th and 13th.
We aren’t trading for an actual superstar. Just the fools gold kind that won’t get us anywhere. Lol, Mitchell ain’t getting Cle over the top and already had a stacked team. Mitchell isn’t a guy that joins the team and you say they are going to win it all.Did you know that players can be traded for? Draft and free agency isnt the only way to get a star.
Cleveland is a small market team who literally just traded for a star.
