I just don't see how a team playing Kanter and Carmelo 20+ minutes a night is going to function defensively.

Kanter is one of the greatest arguments for advanced stats ever. If you just looked at his basic box score numbers right now, he's having a great game. 5-5 from the field, 5 boards, no fouls, no turnovers.

Of course, at one point of this quarter, Favs scored on 3 straight possessions with very little effort because Kanter is awful on defense, and I think I counted 3-4 other possessions in that one quarter where the basket was significantly Kanter's fault.
