FWIW I think this is another example of attempting to regulate something that in the end cannot really be regulated. It is a beginning of invasions of privacy on a grand scale and really puts the security of the internet on very shaky ground. How long until some corrupt official in Hungary or whatever, who is checking every packet you send, gets your credit card and personal information from a transaction that should have been secure and starts selling said information to the highest bidder. That is a huge threat right now, anything like this will just take that threat to a whole other level, imo. I think the government, any government, needs to stay out of the internet monitoring business. Sure, go after the blatant, get a task force to take down child porn rings and the like, but stay out of monitoring every single packet sent. Lots of harm has been done in the name of doing what is "best" for people.
also by the time the kiddie porn is on the web its too late. censorign or blocking wont help. preventionis the better thing to do.
censoring blocking kiddie porn is just looking the other way
