I was more of a Brady fan just because of that 2001 season. It was a great story but I didn't really have a connection to the team. I grew up a Niners fan and still cheer for them as my NFC team. But after my mission the Pats were my team. Plus also living out in Boston after my mission for a bit I was able to go to the games and watch Training Camp in the summer.

It was hard not to get sucked into sports out there on my mission. While I was there the Pats won their 3rd Super Bowl and the Red Sox broke the curse. The city was in sports heaven.

Now I live in the Bay Area so I still support the Niners unless they play the Pats. But those are my two teams.

I'm hoping Lacy falls to them. Big bruiser to team with hillman going forward. The others can be retained for depth and in case Lacy is not ready.

I was actually just reading up on that. If he is a good prospect than I am on board with that. Broncos were active last draft day. Maybe they will be so again to get Lacy. Also I am really hoping Denver and Dumervil work things out.

About an hour before Doom has to choose. If he has not agreed to the deal by then the Broncos will be forced to cut him. I hope it does not come to that. Doom will not get that 12 M from anybody.

Jesus! It is being reported that Dumervil agreed to the cut but Denver did not get the paperwork to the league in time so Dumervil is now a free agent. Damnit. I really hope they sign him immediately. Adding Dumervil to Miller, Bailey, Cromartie, Vickerson, Wolfe and Knighton would be a nice start to a good, solid D.

I saw this. apparently the agent turned the paperwork in late so the Broncos released him. It was either release him or they could not finalize the Welker deal.

In his SB winning years, Brady had top notch defenses. Manning didn't. You sir are the idiot to dismiss him like that.
 
I think Peyton has one more good year left in him. They have stacked a deck on offense and have by far....the easiest schedule in the history of the NFL next year! They should have no problem getting home field advantage throughout the playoffs. However, they just had a major gaff and evidently loss a key free agent pass rusher so there defense took a hit. They will definitely be the Super Bowl pick in the AFC next year. But they could still have some key injuries and if Manning gets hurt they would be in trouble.
