Why are Middle Easterners obsessed with fancy cars? I know at least 6 people from the region who, unlike Memo, aren't exactly rich, and yet they own very nice cars. While my American friends tend to drive more modest cars, despite making more money.

Why are Middle Easterners obsessed with fancy cars? I know at least 6 people from the region who, unlike Memo, aren't exactly rich, and yet they own very nice cars. While my American friends tend to drive more modest cars, despite making more money.
He makes 10 million a year so I think he can afford them. Also kind of doubt he would consider himself from the Middle East. Matter of fact depending on where he is born he very well might be "European".
Turkey's religion, culture, history, mannerisms, and mentality certainly make them more middle eastern than European. Regardless, Turks, Persians, and Arabs love their cars.
Yeah, can really depend. I had a job at a college where I supervised three Turkish people. Two of them were pretty nonreligious. One at the beginning of the school observed most Islamic traditions including Ramadan, not drinking, etc. But by the end of the college year I saw him in a bar drinking Budweiser. Just to be clear I liked all 3 of them. Ironically I dont believe any of them had a car. (might have something to do with them being poor college students!)
