What's new

Deron's post all star game interview.

So committing to one extra year on his extension makes him way better than the rest? Okay. He will still be a free agent when he is 27. Deron will be 26, I believe. Oh, and I'm sure he won't regret it if OKC starts going down the tubes and shedding salary. Players don't feel loyalty to NBA franchises like fans feel loyalty to their teams. It's called real life. And this is coming from the resident Thunder fan!

Dont discount it bro. Get that ish out of here. KD is a throwback. I would trade any player in the league for him. I dont think anyone is looking for loyalty from Deron. I just want KOC to play this right. Once Deron says he wants out his value will drop.

You're right. But it seems like lip service and that he really wants to say, 'Yeah I sucked but I can't play good every night. If we had another guy or two on this team who could carry their load, we would have won this game but."

Oh, so now it's that Williams does say what you want him to say but you don't trust him. Why in the world would he forsake his teammates publicly and tell the media that his current crop of players sucks?

Patrick, seriously, bro, what's going on? You fighting with the missus?

"When it comes from my mouth, when I say I want to go to New York, then you can believe it."

Kinda like how Lebron wasn't going to leave Cleveland until "The Decision" came on Primetime TV....

Sorry, but Deron's being lame. He must take PR from the same school as Carlos Boozer.

True, we cannot believe stupid rumors. But Deron does a horrific job in PR. Who's his agent anyway? He should say that he loves Utah, loves the organization, loves the fans, and has a goal to win a championship here.

Even if he doesn't mean it. That's what you say. Because denying these rumors doesn't do anything. And getting mad at the guy and making fun of his name only adds fuel to the fire. As if he was trying to change the subject.

On the one hand you're mocking LBJ for lying about wanting to stay in Cleveland, and then you turn around and say Deron should say the exact same things about staying in Utah.

Everyone in Cleveland was pissed LBJ lied to them. So that's not a good PR move. Everyone's now pissed at Carmelo for openly saying he doesn't want to stay with his team. Also not a good PR move. So what's the correct move?

Durant put OKC's fears to rest and signed his extension right away - for 5 years, instead of the 3 that some of the other players were doing. - I think Deron was one of them. Durant's been pretty vocal about his love for OKC and his teammates. Durant's a stud. I don't doubt his loyalty to the team that drafted him.

Deron isn't doing that. But Deron isn't Durant :(
Deron probably genuinely doesn't know what he's going to do. Sloan just left so the situation in Utah is a bit unknown going forward. Deron just gained a bit of ground in dictating a lot of the direction the Jazz go in the next couple years. Don't know if he'll want to give that up or not. But whatever - he obviously doesn't know what he's going to do. And so he's not falsely putting everyone's fears to rest and he isn't openly saying he wants to go elsewhere - honestly, I don't think he knows what he's going to do. If you're not totally loyal like Durant then it's probably best not to say anything.

Again, Deron isn't Durant. I don't know what Deron is.
Until I find out, I'm not saying anything either.

Just an atrocious post all around.

Deron should ask to re-structure his contract and then sign an infinite contract where the Jazz own a player option every year. I think that's what Deron haters want. Or they want him to go?

Nevermind. I'm dizzy.

Dude lay off the ganja for a while.

Anyway, this is probably close to what some folks expect unfortunately. I for one would like to see the organization do something to help stabilize things. The rumors of D Will leaving that are flying around are not good for team cohesiveness. But at least they are not as directly detrimental as Bozzer's Public Emancipation Proclamation.

Why don't you give him a script so he can say it just the way you want him to say so you will feel warm and fuzzy inside. Why does it matter to DW haters? You don't believe anything he says or the way he says it.

Didn't Boozer say something like that before he changed his mind and started admiring playing for Chicago. If DW said what you wanted him to say, many Jazz wouldn't believe him. So instead DW is being honest and saying he doesn't know what he is going to do that he wants to win and he is giving the Jazz the length of his contract to show him they are serious. And when he says that DW haters go nuts because they need more reassurance.

Again why does it matter because it seems like you don't even like DW?
