Gonna call him The Motor, thnx to this thread

I know it's blasphemy to speak ill of DFav, but the Laker game reminded me of my concerns about his effort. His motor was a concern when he was drafted and I'm worried its what's keeping him from averaging a double double.

For those that disagree.....

When was the last time he had a break away dunk?

I don't think he's in the greatest of shape, but I think he works his *** off until he's too tired to do so.

I think all of the attention is going to Hayward and Gobert's massive improvement this season, but Favors has "quietly" put together a very nice season. I don't have any complaints about him...

This deserves a bump

His stats right now are simply ****ing incredible.

70% from the FT line. 55% from the field. 2 steals per game, 9 rebounds per game. 7th in league PER (of course a flawed stat-- but a good metric of offensive capability from offensive focal points)

His motor has always been questionable. When hes shown extra aggression I've liked the results.
The first time I saw it was against the Warriors a few years back.

What we saw on Saturday night was what we've been waiting for. That Malone esque will, drive, and passion.
More please!

I'm not sure I'd say they are incredible but very ****ing good, sure. Incredible to me would be 80% from the line with 11 rebounds per game.

My guess is he'll have that 11 RPG by the time Gobert comes back.

LOL - he'll never shoot 80% at the line though.

Not counting rookie deals, his production to contract is probably the best in the NBA right now.

Excluding one Steph Curry, perhaps..

Why is 80% so laughable? Yao Ming shot 83%. So did Laimbeer. So did Mike Gminski who I once served cold cuts to at a supermarket in Medford, NJ. So did others over 6'10". I find 80% to be incredible. But certainly not 70%.

I think you have to have innate shooting skills to be 80% or better from the line.

Just my observation but I don't believe Favors is a natural scorer - I think what's he's achieved up to this point is based on him busting his *** and working on his game.

I think Favor's ceiling from the line for a season is probably low 70's.
