SALT LAKE CITY — Coming off a rough offensive outing in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers the night before, the Utah Jazz displayed plenty of offensive firepower Saturday night in a 113-81 victory over the Sacramento Kings at Vivint Arena.
Here are three takeaways from the game.
- Bojan Bogdanovic showed off exactly why he was brought in by the Jazz this offseason, as the small forward scored a game-high 26 points and hit 5 of 9 3 pointers. Utah, which averaged nine made 3-pointers per game in its first two contests, hit 18 against the Kings.
- Mike Conley, who shot just 14.9% from the field in the team’s first two games, showed improvement by scoring 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting, including two 3-pointers, and added eight assists and three rebounds.
- The Jazz broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring Sacramento 31-16 in the period. Utah led by as many as 37 points and shot 57.1% from the field and 48.6% from 3-point range while holding the Kings to 37% shooting.
