The crew of the NBA on TNT broadcast — Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson — recently opened up again about Kobe Bryant, who passed away in late January.
What’s going on?
- The NBA on TNT crew recently appeared on “The Today Show” to talk about Kobe Bryant and his legacy.
- Shaq: “It was very hard. I’ve never seen something like this before. ... A guy who helped me get as big as I am, we will be forever linked.”
- Kenny Smith: “It’s a relatable tragedy. We all like jump in the minivan. We all do that with our kids. He was doing it in a helicopter. ... A dad was lost.”
- Charles Barkley: “I felt like I lost a member of my family.”
