I really liked both Snyder's and Lindsey's responses in regards to the their collective philosophy of practice and training and how they are both very aware of keeping the aforementioned activities from becoming "mundane." I think one can say that they are smart to not let things go "Thibodeaudian." These players come from a different generation and it's smart to think about how to keep them striving and not bored. It's definitely a philosophical approach that Mr. Sloan failed at. Unfortunately.

The mention of the new video room and it's build is also exciting and great to hear.

I like that they are fans of "advanced metrics/ analytics" and that they believe in them. I wonder if either of the two have any sort of personal connection to Mr. Morey from Houston is well known for being a big analytics guy.

I thought the conversation towards the end of Lindsey's interview regarding foot strike was kind of surprising. Well maybe not surprising but it goes to show you that these guys are completely ****ing serious. They have a hell of a team under them.

Interesting to hear bits of him and DoL talk after their on air interview concluded. DoL kind of got after him during the interview for asking a bad question.

Honestly I expect big jumps from Exum, Hood, Gobert and Burks.

Burks shooting and finishing at the rim will go up.

Gobert's D will be better due to his increased reach. His offensive game will see solid improvement. The combination makes him the DPOY and an allstar this year.

Hood will become the teams best shooter and teams will be forced to guard him on the 3 point line.

Exum will be more aggressive in attacking the rim and using his speed. He will see the floor better as he will be used to the speed of the game. I also expect solid improvement in his shot as well.

Favors and Hayward will see mild improvement.

Burke regresses even more and is on his way out.

Snyder pushes but falls just short of COY and the Jazz win 53 games. 7th seed and lose in the first round 4-2.

I expect a lot from Exum as well. I think his offense will improve but the question remains - how much. And I feel that his defense will continue to improve - he's going to give players fits. Also, I think his shot will improve because he won't rely so much on it. Instead of chucking threes (which actually worked well in a few games and not-so-well in others) he'll take what the defense gives him and due to his increased offensive capability inside I think he'll be guarded more closely = a more open paint.

Gobert's defensive improvement will be interesting. He made a huge leap last season and so any improvement is just icing on the cake. I think his offensive improvement will be interesting (mainly his jump shot since he's shown he has a solid inside game - especially that baby hook & scoop shot).

Hood will be interesting - it would be cool to see what he's working on. Hoping he's doing physical therapy for his foot as well as his explosive diarrhea.

Burks was out of it for a while but I think the working hard mentality will keep him working hard. I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up with more strength and muscle and drives to the basket more often. I feel like Hood and Burks will be the bigger question marks as far as improvement goes and I feel like Gobert and Exum will show a lot of noticeable improvements.

I think Hayward will improve because the players around him are improving. Hayward thrives when he's surrounded by talent. I see his assists going up as well as his 3-point shooting.

Good news is this staff is good at improving players. Favors is developing his jumper and it looks better last season and Burke went from being unable to score inside to doing it consistently - especially during some clutch moments.
