Devin Harris To Portland This Summer?

Batum has much higher upside than Matthews and I think Portland FO (when they have one) would agree with that. Also Matthews' contract is much less friendly than Batum's, so it is more likley we can pry Matthews away than Batum.

All of you are really underselling the bad blood between these two franchises. Greg Miller hates Paul Allen, he tried to **** over this franchise not once - twice. Wow how soon some of you forget. .

You gotta be 100% business - never personal. When it gets personal people lose money and opportunities.

Having said that - don't want Miller. Yeah, he puts up solid numbers; but to me he's a malcontent and a loner who plays just good enough to get his next starting job. And he'll never get on the same page as Jefferson or Favors - I'd doubt he'd say 5 words combined to each of them all year.

Don't want Camby - we already have the best young PF in the league. Why do we want this old man taking minutes from him - not counting the 30 or so games he'll miss due to assorted injuries?

Don't want Fernandez - he's a jerkoff.

Batum and Matthews I'm interested; but then you all but force yourself to pick Knight at 3. Does that mean you definitely don't want Kanter? What if Williams is available at 3?

****ing terrible. Holy ****ing ****.

1) Camby isn't going anywhere. He said he'll retire if he's traded. I believe him, he's what, 37?
2) Camby is old as **** and making a move to get him is ONLY a win-now move. Huge waste of time and money.
3) Portland doesn't want Miller. They have a team option and the only way they exercise that is if they're using Miller as a salary-matcher or if they can't get another PG anywhere.
4) Miller is old as **** and isn't going to mean anything besides mentoring whoever the Jazz get.

Why are the Jazz trading two stars for washed-up players, a late pick in a bad draft, and one actually nice (but not a star or cornerstone) player? To dump Bell?

This. This trade gives Portland exactly what they need. An upgrade at the point and a solid backup at power forward. We get their garbage, a late pick in a bad draft, and an overrated Batum. Millsap is the best player in this trade by far. Why do people so casually throw him into every trade they can think of?

Millsap is a stud. And he needs to accept that on the Jazz, with new personnel, he best serves the team's needs as a 6th man.

No way would I trade Harris AND Milsap as someone mentioned.. Harris and CJ for Miller and Matthews/Batum in a heartbeat however. A lot of people are underrating Andre Miller. He is quietly effective and has been his whole career. Obviously the main piece in a trade like this would be Batum or Matthews, but Miller would be good for 25 min/per and to mento Knight or Jimmer, depending on who we draft.

So if Andre Miller is that good, why would Portland trade him? And, if they think Harris would be so good with them, why would we want to trade him?

Portland may actually like Harris has a longer contract because their hands are tied as far as acquiring new players through free agency while Roy is on the books. We would like the option of getting rid of Miller in 1 year if Knight or Fredette is the plan. Again I do not endorse trading with the tycoon Allen.

It seems you missed the 23 posts that mention Andre Miller coming back to us.

Or rather not buying Miller as giving us what we need. I don't see us trading Harris unless something incredibly good comes our way. Seems to me that even with a new coach we run a PG dependent system. I don't think Miller replaces Harris nor does a any of the folks we will have to choose from in the draft.

All of you are really underselling the bad blood between these two franchises. Greg Miller hates Paul Allen, he tried to **** over this franchise not once - twice. Wow how soon some of you forget. There were plenty of other good free agents yet he targeted Utah twice because the franchises limited earnings and war chest. He will be aiming to do it in the upcoming years on Jeremy Evans, Gordon Hayward, and Derrick Favors, mark my words. Nothing makes me happier that franchise will be locked in mediocrity the next 4 years due to Roy's degenerative knees and untradeable contract. That's called karma bitches. Trades are the only way Portland can improve, lets not help them out.

All Portland did was go after two players they really wanted in their system. They were smart in making the contracts very difficult to match. All part of the game.
