The deal they took leaves them with more of a clean slate going into next summer, which is going to be a pivotal summer for them..

-Who knows what Len is gonna try to pull as a RFA(They've already got McLemore to deal with too)
-Same for Warren in the summer of 2018..
-There's clear incongruity with Brandon Knight's contract being for 3 more seasons. this is definitely a hangup/difference. all their vets expire by next summer the way they did it..

Wow. That unprotected pick alone should have been enough to make it better than Hield. I get why they wouldn't want Knight w/ his contract though.

Hopefully playing with Davis makes him focus more on just being a post monster. He could be the next Shaq if he reigned his game in a bit and got rid of the wildness/looseness of his poor shot selection/trying to do too much on the perimeter days in Sactown.
