What's new

Do the Jazz abandon "the process" this summer?

By that logic Hayward isn't worth the max though.. He gets a pass from these absurd standards because he's white I suppose?

You're dense. Hayward produces. Barnes does **** because he has no noticeable discernible skills other than perhaps being a good rebounder.

The key question on Barnes is is he they beneficiary of playing with greatness or is he suppressed by it. I believe it is a lot of the former and a little of the latter. Role players on great teams have made a lot of money going to other teams and ended up not doing so well.

Just look at how he performs when a key player is injured to answer that.

The answer thus far has been consistently awful.

Spoken like a bitter, delusional fan of team with 0 championships.. Hayward produces what exactly? We're talkng about the playoffs right? 18% FG's in the playoffs.

He produces just enough moral victories for you to go on the internet and talk **** about..

Bitter fan? Hardly. If there's one thing I'm not, it's that. I get over losses very quickly.

Most sane posters here realize Hayward is not the answer or savior for the franchise. That is why I don't want to pay a poor man's Hayward (Harrison Barnes) the max. Make sense?

Bring up the championships all you want, but if Curry, Thompson, and Green aren't on that team, Harrison Barnes doesn't win **** in this league.

Barnes(who's 23) stats are going up every year though.. Like Hayward and Favors at that point..

I'll say it again because it's a common refrain here..

It isn't

Barnes vs Hood
Barnes vs Hayward
Barnes vs Burks

They'll play together!!

Barnes lurks on the weakside when those players faceup to provide spacing, I've already illustrated how the minutes of the core players would be unaffected and where his 3pt attempts would come from..

I'm convinced some fighting me on this just want to justify the Jazz being cheap somehow in their minds.

another angle would be they're getting hayward as much help as they can find going into his big 'decision'

If we don't get him some help it won't be a big decision it will be an easy decision.

Sorry doods, extra money won't be enough. GTime likes being in GQ magazine. He has come out of his shell. He is dreaming. He wants more. He wants to be a winner. He wants a legacy.

So we should just roll with it? Srsly wtf are we waiting for? Either try and build a team around him or trade him and make a move. Let's not sit on the sidelines for no ****in reason.

Unlike many here when I voice displeasure I point out what I would've done, or what I think should be done. It's much easier to be critical than to actually brain storm realistic ideas..

people for the most part here don't like me, so they don't like my ideas// the issue is my ideas are damn good, so y'all choose to act like children about it, play dumb, ****** schoolboy **** really. whatever I guess thats how dudes are in Utah..
I don't dislike you. But I do dislike your overly obsessive desire to throw money down the toilet on a role player like Harrison Barnes. What makes you think your ideas are so damn good? Who told you that?

I'm not judging, just my observations.

People have posted alternatives over the last few weeks. You're choosing to pretend like that hasn't happened. Bazemore. Tucker. Lee. A bunch have been thrown out there. So relax dude. You're quickly escalating into pgab bitch mode.

I'm not offended to be called queer, but don't call me a ****** schoolboy **** bro.

BArnes is 23 years old though if you think they'd get stuck with the bill for 3 or 4 years if things went sour (which is highly unlikely) in today's NBA, with bottom feeders like the Nets around, I'd say you're crazy. Those teams would pony up expiring's quickly..

My stance is it's riskier for them to stand pat than do a move like this, which is an obvious match and upgrade of quality/depth.

Barnes is capable of taking and making big shots which the Jazz could use.

I'm under the impression the JAzz will go over the tax when the time is right, the fact that they have so much young talent on restricted deals helps plenty.. means they can sign them/match regardless of the cap situation..

I've already detailed how they can resign Hayward next offseason with this move, so that means they can sign Rudy afterwards and go over..

This then turns the priority to fitting Favors in the next summer, before resigning Exum and Hood..

Lyles is insurance for Favors though and they can double down on that if they take a PF/C with the 12th pick..

His total minutes went down thats what I meant. He played 500 less minutes than Hood this year because he missed 16 games..

He was shooting at a higher rate though, and was on pace to hit about 100 3's in 250 attempts in a full 82, which wouldv'e both been career-highs, and in line with an upward career trajectory...

He's played in 307 of a possible 328 NBA regular season tho so he can be counted on..

Ya know who the Warriors replacement is for HArrison Barnes??? It's Brandon Rush a player the Jazz let go of years ago..

You sound several steps behind. Let me catch you up;

-Joe Ingles is a fringe NBA player, end of the rotation guy, and hasn't proven to be anything more than that...

-Harrison Barnes is a starter on the best team in basketball, with a championship ring on his finger..

There's no comparison, if your under the impression Ingles is better than Barnes you're gravely mistaken..

Are you seriously trying to argue the Jazz should stick with Joe Ingles over Harrison Barnes? That's precisely the status quo BS that caused them to miss the playoffs this year..

Bwahahahahahahahaha. Best thread ever. I especially like the bit where PGAB justifying Barnes stats by saying he played less mins due to injury after Fish points out he averaged more mins per game after showing stats per 36 mins. That's some kind of stupid great show PGAB PGAB is talking gibberish and acting like he's been in the business for years. Again, your some kind of stupid with no Conscience. I've always said the most entertainment comes from those that don't know how dumb they are and keep digging bigger holes. This describes this thread in a nutshell. Keep trucking PGAB, and keep me laughing.

*sigh*

Sometimes, one person reaches a level of irrationality so high when arguing their case that discussing the matter with them becomes pointless.

This thread is well beyond that point.
