Do The Jazz Always Shoot At Bench Basket?

MSG has been showing old Knick games and of course tons of those games are us beating the hell out of the Jazz. Aside from us humiliating you, there is something else I have noticed.

NBA rules state that road teams get to choose which basket they want to shoot at for first half (and thus the second half because they simply switch). Now what I have noticed at all Jazz road games against the Knicks, the Jazz always are shooting at the basket in front of their bench for the second half of the game. Our announcer Mike Breen pointed out that it is odd for teams to do that. He said all teams seem to want their defense set ups in front of their own bench for the last half of the game. Breen said what the Jazz do is very odd.

It seems this practice spans years and coaches with the Jazz. Well, I ask you Jazz fans:
1. Is this common practice for all road games?
2. Did Jerry Sloan do it?
3. Have you noticed it?
4. Why is this a Jazz thing and not other teams?

1&2. I know Sloan did it, I remember it being commented upon.
3. I don't pay attention to such things.
4. Perhaps because our offense has been more intricate than out defense in many years.

Interesting.

So it is has been put into practice for the last three coaches. That's pretty odd in sports. Usually a new coach comes in and they don't carry over the things that the previous guy did.
