I think the year the Jazz finished with the 4th worst record in the league and ended up drafting Deron Williams (by trading with Portland) was basically a tank job. We since parlayed that one lottery pick into Kanter, Favors, Marvin and this year's #21 pick. That's half a rebuild right there.
O'Connor all but admitted that they tried to tank the year before that, but Jerry coached the team to a 42-40 record and cost them a top 5 draft pick in a great draft.
