Lakers. As I don't see them as a major threat comes the playoffs. We want Clippers to struggle early so they would have to play PG and Kawhi more in the regular season, so neither's gonna be at their best selves in the playoffs.

I really don’t care that much, but if I had to pick one, I’d root for the Clippers. They’re good enough that they’re going to be there in the end, regardless. The Lakers, on the other hand, are leaning hard on Davis, LeBron, and some aging vets. If things go poorly, the volume of haters will get loud. That’d be fun.

Clippers are gona be rly good this season.
Their roster is deep and they have some really damn good defenders at every position.

They need PG and Kawhi playing together to be good. I'm not sold on guys like Shamet, Harrell, Zubac, Jamychal Green, etc. I'm also not sold on Doc Rivers as a coach.

Totally hypothetical but if the draft order was decided based off of regular season standings and the Jazz owned another teams 1st round pick and all we needed was the Lakers to beat team x and we'd get the 1st pick, you'd root for the Lakers...but that's the only scenario lol

As much as I hate seeing players forcing their way off teams, you have to respect it as a Jazz fan when players tell teams they're not resigning...at least that team gets something in return. Indy got Oladipo and Sabonis, NOP got Lonzo and Ingram, OKC got SGA. Jazz got nothing when Hayward left.

It’s not true for teams that can use the left over cap space to sign FAs and restock their lost value. It’s true for teams that can’t do this adequately.
