Do you think O'Connor will pursue Jason Terry?

The cocky players do not change their characters. Sure he is gonna be 6th man for us but you gotta regard the chemistry issues both on the court and off the court, the minutes given, the shot attempts and selfishness level. Will he complain when his name not being called or not getting enough touches? The coach gotta show himself at these situations a la Phil Jackson. Sometimes he uses even more ball than Dirk so not easy to handle.

huh? terry is a selfish player??

Terry seems like a good locker room dude.

I think he will try to play for a contender though, but maybe he is content with his championship and would sacrifice a clear shot at another title in favor of money/years.

I don't think he is selfish as much as he is cocky. He tattooed the Championship trophy on his bicep before there championship season, and he refers to himself in the third person at times (the third person thing drives me nuts)

PKM agrees with you.

Jason Terry can play back-up PG for sure. I would love him if our team was 3 years further along in their development.

I don't think the Jazz look at it this way. I think they want to compete and develop at the same time. How else do you explain them not pulling the trigger on a Jefferson trade?

i love the process of inventing flaws in players. terry is, by all accounts, a really nice guy. he's confident, but as the 2nd/3rd scoring option on a team that went to two finals and won a ring, you have to be confident. his usage has been between 18-23 for his entire career, and this year he had the 73rd highest usage in the league. i think he uses exactly the amount of possessions a player like him should use.

Its my personal opinion that several of our current developing players could benefit from being around some cockiness

Does that mean Karl Malone drove you nuts too? :)

"Do you think O'Connor will pursue Jason Terry?" No, I don't think he would unless several other options fell apart first.

I could see them going after Terry like they did with Raja Bell and offer a similar deal to Terry. I don't think he will take it, but I think Utah could be a Top 5 Destination for him.
1. Dallas
2. Boston
3. Clippers
4. Memphis
5. Utah

The last time he tried to add a vet to this young team it went terribly wrong. (Good afternoon, Mr Bell) I still doubt they'd go after Terry though.

Did you just compare the second best player on a championship team last year to raja bell? Raja Bell has never been close to Bell talent wise.

Because Al Jefferson and Devin Harris expire at the same time giving the Jazz a ton of cap room?

Because no one was offering the Jazz anything good in return?

For me, personally (with all my flaws), I rank position priority as follows;

1 - SF
2 - PG
3 - SG
4 - C
5 - PF

Obviously we need shooters (at all positions) and prefer a true/pure PG, if possible. So I guess it's how one defines 'top priority.'

^^^^This I guess I have flaws too
