He basically gave OKC nothing in the GSW series. He was nowhere to be seen at crunch time and they made needs the $$$ to keep KD in the board.

My god!! How dumb are u?!?! U actually think that either he or the Jazz org would want him back after he burned all his bridges in Utah. I don't think he missed the mountains that much. IDIOT!!!!

We talkin bout the user Box of Rocks? Because if so, no dice. That dude was one of the better posters in the last decade.

I assume the point of this is to say if we wanted Kanter back (Which we do not) we could get him back for less than we traded him away for?

First of all, of course we don't want him back

Second, you're wrong to say he gave them nothing in that series. He actually had some good moments, scoring and even blocked at least one layup attempt that I saw -- didn't look at the final numbers. He also played a lot better D than I expected and was a force on the boards. Overall, Kanter has played well for them. Still, he is a defensive liability and likely will never be an All-Star unless he makes huge improvements on both ends.

Third, his play also will likely never justify his salary.

I realize he burned more than one bridge here. The only reason I mentioned this is I heard on a national radio show that OKC might be looking to move him to add some more pieces. Also it seems to me that he is still better than our backup bigs after Rudy and Favs. It sounded like they would take Tibor Pleiss back to free some room to get KD and others in the boat.

If DL thinks like this he is officially the dumbest GM in the history of the league. Fortunately for us, there is no way he even considers this idea.

Lighten up on the OP, he was only suggesting that right now OKC values Kanter equivalent to a box of rocks. This is probably close to the truth.

The immobile big is unplayable in the current version of the NBA playoffs. Kanter sat and watched, Toronto is talking about moving Jonas Valuncunios. It makes the Jazz's situation more interesting. Gobert is up for an extension this fall, how much is he worth if they can't play him the playoffs?
