What's new

Does anyone still like this team?

Donovan is a limited passer. He's a very good drive and kick passer. He can really whip those passes with accuracy.

He's never been an accurate pocket passer or some one who is good at finding angles with drive and dishes. His height also prevents him from being able to see a lot of passes.

I seriously can't stand listening to Locke anymore. I get that he works for the team, but the constant excuses, spinning everything to make it positive, and trying to polish the turd that this team has been since basically January is becoming too much. I think the fans would rather just have honesty rather than the constant fanboying.
Cliff notes? Don’t really wanna listen if he is in denial mode.

I didn't make it through the whole episode, but he basically just talked about how this team is showing signs that they can be really good and that they can win a playoff series. He thinks they may have found a rotation that will work in the playoffs and the first 41 minutes of the GS game is equally or more important than the final 6-minute collapse, and blah blah blah.

I don't disagree. Juancho replacing Gay feels significant. House being back feels significant.

They just got to figure out this ******** where Don goes hero mode, but it's like Superman with a pocket full of kryptonite

"To lose a 25 point lead you have to be really good and get up by 25... why is everyone freaking out? We are clearly really good.... every team loses leads."

He is Chuck Knoblauch throwing to first right now. Even if it was just hero mode and he was getting bad shots that were smarter bad shots we'd be fine, but its turnovers, over-dribbling, bad shots, and a general panic that seems to spread to the whole team.

If you can't win close games then you are cooked in the playoffs... I have zero confidence we can win a close game versus a good opponent.

Thanks. But unless Quin finally decides to change the crunch time lineup, it doesn't really matter.

Does he mention anything about Quin's baffling un adaptability this year? One of the worst things about this team.

Locke would never say a bad word about Quin.

The lineup can stay the same... we basically started giving up 3 points every trip down the floor. Having Rudy step up once or twice on those or IDK trapping Klay Thompson who is not some amazing ballhandler may have caused a turnover, maybe forced a missed shot... might give up a Green layup but I watched him smoke one earlier in the game... you can't be this predictable or good players will bury you. It's been an issue for 3+ years.

I'm not exactly optimistic that they'll figure that part out, but I will say I think it might be a positive that Mitchell's hero-ball antics went viral on social media after this particular game. Mitchell is used to going hero-mode, chucking us out of games, and facing next to no blame for it. The Warriors loss was different, and honestly, given that he noticeably increased his effort on defense for a couple weeks after Gobert made the Booker comment, I think he is the type of guy who gets motivated by being publicly embarrassed.

And people around here are acting like nothing ever happened.

Rudy could literally punch a baby and some around here would find a way to blame it on Don.

Let s just say this....if DM is not passing to RG because an off court issue, then he is even a bigger diva than I could imagine. A true piece of ****.

That wasn't the point of my quote.

And I have been clear - if Don isn't passing to Rudy because they never cleared the air off the court, that is unacceptable. That would be ********.

I've got a silly idea. When the bad Donovan starts to show himself, Quin sits his butt on the bench. It's like if you are in the rotation, you have no accountability.
