Does Jazzfanz Have a Rec Basketball Team?

I played pickup or league play from 12 - 28. But I found soccer at 24. It was a new challenge and I love challenges. So, I determined to figure it out. Now I play with college players or guys in college who played high school. Leagues are divided by skill set so the competition is great. I get more time and chances to play. I tried a jazz fan picup game about a decade ago at the hyper (U of U) but only 4 or 5 guys showed up. So, I have been convinced ya'lls are 350+ lb amputee stalkers who grew uo watching Mr. McFeely too closely and ya'll are looking for the next chap to stalk. Other than the 4 or 5 who showed up that is.

Thanks for the invite... but I will be playing soccer with peeps who actually show up.
I play both bball and soccer. Actually soccer in college. A good pickup soccer game is hard to find but leagues are almost always better than bball leagues.

Yes, and I'm still balling ... within reason ... I also remember how dominant Calvin Murphy was and saw him play when he was a freshman at Niagara. I think he already had reached his athletic peak at 18-19, that's how good he was.

That wasn't a joke. You said that you remember how dominant Maravich was in college. That makes you at least in your 60s.
I remember how skillful Dr. Naismith was when he built the very first basketball hoops out of peach baskets in Springfield, Mass...that guy was a genius. I even got a video of it on my iphone to prove it.

Don't believe that I was there, then? I was so close to Calvin Murphy, physically, that I could reach out and touch him. He was a champion baton twirler in those days, too. He was so good by the time he was 18 that he probably could've played in the NBA. He was 5-9 maybe less and could dunk behind his head.
