Does Kanter show Jazz made mistake in these playoffs ......

Ya because I literally meant every single person on these forums.

Blue Elephant: "Everyone on the Jazz is white."

But those other people didn't come here to bash Kanter for his negative +/- from last night like you accused them of, so I'm not really sure what your point is on that one.

The first game Kanter is a major minus on the floor (in plus minis at least) everyone goes on here to point out asap. The same people didn't point out the games kanter was a + on the floor during those close SA spur games. When +/- supports your argument you use it. When it doesn't you ignore it. Textbook confirmation bias.

First game? We must be watching different playoffs.

Across the playoffs, OKC is +11 while Kanter is OFF the court. This places him last on the team.
OKC is +1.2 when Kanter is on the court. In his defense, this is better than Foye, Singler and Payne.

Anyone looking at this objectively can see that overall he is hurting the team.

Dude, he was a total of +1 against the Spurs (total, not per game) in a series that his team won in 6.

What facts do you have to support your argument about his overall playoff performance?

Since Harden no longer being part of OKC their bench was seen as a major liability. Kanter helped improve this bench greatly. If you expect Kanter and the bench to have the +/- numbers their starters do especially against GSW and Spurs which have amazing benches it isn't fair on Kanter.

Waiters is a bench player for okc too right? Wonder how his plus minus numbers compare to kanter.

Kanter's "On minus off" is (-9.8), below Waiters (-0.8), Morrow (-2.9), and Collison (-6.3). Slightly better than Foye (-10.9), and Payne has been a trainwreck at -32.5 (I ignored players <50 min).

Small sample size warning, but how can you defend that he "greatly improved the bench" with these types of playoff numbers? He has given them a nice bench post scoring punch, very good rebounding and great offensive rebounding. But the stats are clear that his other liabilities outweigh these benefits.

Also, keep in mind that much of this data is with Kanter playing alongside starters -- including Durant/ Westbrook are on the bench only 9/12 min per game. It is not like he is only playing with sub-standard second string players.

I loved Bull Kanter, but there was no future for the Jazz if he was one of their core players moving forward. OKC better finish this thing out. If they lose Durant/Westbrook this summer or next, they're in for a world of hurt. They'll be the Jazz of 2012/2013.

Thank heavens for Rudy and Rodney. Getting those two where they did in the draft was amazing.
