Also look at the james harden situation he was comming of the bench in his 3rd season avg 31 minutes per game for okc.
he was 6th man of the year(or runner up forgot whatnot)

anywho, even though if he stayed with okc they could have been championship contenders he chose to go to houston rockets who seem to be a first round exit team.
so what i'm saying kanter favors burks could easily say **** it and go to a crappy fringe playoff team. to be the man.
rather then stay on the crappy utah jazz

imagine if OKC was using corbin strategy of sitting westbrook harden durant and ibaka for 2-3 years. would they have made it to the finals in their 5th year.
to bad harden is gone now.

but all i'm saying atleast the team went to the finals before harden got out.

by the way things are going the core4 will be broken up before they get "experience" to reach the finals or contender status.

OKC had a limited window of opportunity on their team.

jazz will also have a limted window of opportunity.

:(.
this year has ben WASTED beyond belief

This is my biggest fear.

Harden chose to go to Houston because he wasn't going to get paid what he deserved to be paid in OKC and they didn't want to lose him for nothing. He'd still be on OKC if they didn't blow their money on worse players (Westbrook and ESPECIALLY Perkins).

yet he still "choose" to go to a fringe playoff team(who might fall out of playoff race depending on what dallas does, and if corbin plays the right players).
for a lil bit more money.
what you think will happen when jazz have no moeny for one of those guys.
by year 3 okc where in the finals and a big thanks to harden.
jazz are not on course to do what okc did.
if you look at the draft position of okc
Durant 2nd pick
westbrook 4th pick
ibaka 24th pick
harden 3rd pick

compare that to jazz 2 number 3 picks. number 9 pick and 12th pick

i know draft position does not say a thing.
for example marvin williams was drafted 2nd.

but would you honestly say that durant, westbrook, ibaka, and harden on rookie contracts.
are lightyears ahead of burks kanter hayward kanter and favors.
the clear advantage goes to durant ofcourse. but our core4 is not that bad compared to thunders.

sigh.

i frickin hate the direction jazz is going.

with stockpiling picks yet not using them

Plus, it appears Harden also wanted to be 'the man.' From what I've been able to tell, he didn't want to go back to OKC and be the third wheel again.

Harden would've been at least $10 million poorer had he stayed on the Thunder and they owned his agency rights. They knew what they were willing to pay and instead thought that keeping Perkins (or Westbrook) was more important. That's all them.

I think your point is interesting but OKC has Durrant and Westbrook, Arguably two of the top 10 players in the league. Though our young guys have great potential, i'm not sure any of them are top 100. Hayward might be. but Favors offensive game is pretty raw and i think we have seen that over the last few weeks. Ultimately, If any of teh core four were as good as Durrant and Westbrook, they' b be playing. I do want more minutes for the young guys and I think Kanter Favors and Burks shoudl play more, but comapring our situation to OKC seems a little off, especially because Jefferson is better on offense than favors, and Millsap may still be better than KAnter overall, whereas there was never any debate in Seattle/OKC about who was the best PG and who was the best SF.

even if jefferson has his best game kanter is still outplaying him.
there is NO debtae that favors and kanter are better players.
there is no debate that burks is better than foye watson tinsley and marvin williams.
there is no debate that hayward is better than foye and williams.

The Jazz promote a horrible general manager to president of basketball operations. They don't make a move at the trade deadline. They are comfortable with losing. Face it. No they wont fire Corbin and if they do they have only scratched the surface of what needs to be done. Kevin O'Conner needs to get fired. He's been the downfall of the Jazz. Why is this so hard to see????

Kevin O'Conner selected Corbin to be the coach. That is just one of his many stupid decisions that affected our team. But everyone continues to support him. Any other team in the NBA wouldve fired him after his second or third year. Only the jazz would promote him to a higher position.

Just an FYI

Which NCAA head coach would you like to see get a shot in the NBA?
Chad Ford (1:21 PM)

Brad Stevens. First of all, he's a basketball genius. Second, he has the demeanor that I think would work in the pros. He motivates with reason, not with screaming and power plays. I think GMs are crazy not to bring him in.

Of all the coaching jobs in the NBA, Ty's job is the safest. Ty could smother Kanter with a pillow and the Jazz organization wouldn't make a change.

The truth is that KOC is a top ten gm in the league. Give me 21 Gm's that are better than he is. We should be a terrible team... like we should be where the suns or kings or raptors are. Fact is, he has made good moves. instead of letting D-will go for nothing or little, we were able to net Kanter, Favors, Burks (indirectly) and the GSW pick this year. He has done a pretty good job imo

You are right about this though. Corbin is in over his head. you'd think KOC would have known better.
