Donovan in three point contest

As far as the merits of him being in the contest, players that take more difficult shots at the expense of their percentages (but still have good percentages) have a good case for getting in.

First. I’m not sure Stockton was marketable enough for anyone to care, and Horny was more marketable than Joe is now. Horny was a former allstar and thought of and branded as one of the best shooters in the league.

Second, let’s get real, Stockton is was probably a lot like Ingles as in his Family was far more important to him and would rather chill with than then trying to fit into a scene he didn’t fit into.
 
Joe's said he couldn't get all those shots up in time. I don't believe him, though. He just wants to stay home.

How do we know he isn't worthy of the competition? And since Joe (my personal choice) has no interest, my next choice would be Don.

You said he wasn't chosen to compete to win the competition. You also said they should pick somebody who works hard on their shot like Don doesn't.

Don said he tried to get Joe to do it but Joe said no.

Wow you are sure liberal with the assumptions there. Not even worth the conversation tbh. You putting so many words in my mouth is just stupid. I never said Donovan didn't work on his shot, it is objectively true we have a better shot of winning it with someone with a better percentage, that's just math. Now I get why people don't like to talk to you. Enjoy the game!

So you are saying Donovan is one of the best in the league at it? He worked hard on his shot to be the best he's been in his career, not in the top 20 in the league like a couple of our other guys. So saying he worked hard to be one of the best in the league would be a lie. Are you expecting me to lie? Or are you just being disingenuous because you don't want to give the tiniest bit in the internet argument. But you keep picking and choosing what you respond to. You gotta do you.

What do you want from me? I said I wanted Joe.

You said Don didn't deserve a spot with your comments. I disagree.

Don has more 3s than any rook ever. He is the fastest to 500 3s ever. So he doesn't have as high a percentage as some others but he makes a ton of them. Does that mean he isn't worthy?

On wide open 3s Mitchell is #2 on our team at 45% just behind Conley at 47%. My guess is Conley doesn't want to do this, he is a vet and deserves to be an all star, not go like this. Mitchell is a better choice than anyone else. They both average about 3.6.
 
Mitchell is also #2 on the team on catch and shoot 3s behind ingles. He's shooting 44% on those. Really he is one of our best shooters he just takes a lot of difficult shots that bring down his percentages.
