What's new

Donovan Mitchell is a Trash Player

Your opinions of Don and Rudy are subjective. You want to blame one while you want to act like one is perfect.

The truth is that everybody is to blame.

Objective. Go read up. It's a good way to go about things.

I can only imagine the list of things you don't understand. It’s awesome that we live in a country that allows your useless opinion to still have a platform.

You seriously going to grandstand here and act like Rudy is perfect?

You, sir, are the one with the unrealistic and harmful approach to this whole thing. Not a single, rational person will blame our issues all on one person.

No matter how it shakes out it's a shame to lose another year where we could have competed to petty disagreements and hurt feelings. Let's just hope the new version of whatever we get is more congenial and fun to watch.

I can't believe how fickle this fanbase is. There always has to be some scapegoat player to constantly attack. CJ, Exum, Donovan, etc etc.

You will find some Jazz player to take your own sad life frustrations on.

So he missed Rudy when Rudy had a good seal on Klay. **** happens. Grow up and move on.

he averages 2 passes to Rudy per game. 2 passes. this is about much more than just one play from one game.

Sloan would have never put up with this. You aren't hitting the open man or playing D, you will get called out or benched. Sloan had his flaws, but at least he held the team accountable from each player. Hell, he quit when management wouldn't let him bench Deron.

I understand coaching these days is also babysitting and ego coddling, Mitchell is a prime example of a player that needs it, but it doesn't mean he has zero accountability.

I'd love to run it back with a coach that demands hard nosed D and see what happens.

I hesitated to put much blame on Quin, but on this issue I had to wonder. Donovan talks a lot about watching film. I imagine as a team they watch film and discuss what they're doing right and wrong. On this Quin needs to que up a series of times when DM failed to pass to an open Gobert. Show one and tell him in that situation you pass to Rudy, and again in this situation you pass to Rudy, over and over. Then next game que it up again and ask DM what he didn't understand about passing it to Rudy when he's open down low, especially when he fights for position and gets it. Next game, tell him he either gets Rudy the ball in these situations or he can sit. Next game, he misses Rudy, call a time out and sit his ***.

They do a ton of passes outside on the perimeter. Pass and handoffs.

I guess this 2 passes a game thing is only in the post? Or right under the basket? What qualifies as a pass in this statistic?

Hilarious now that the tables are turned on Donovan on here Lopo is Mr."Don't Insult Anyone on the Team" dude.

Dude loved hating on Conley and Gobert but now it's different lmao

Also lmao at Lopo saying the Jazz pass around the perimeter a lot.

Have you watched the Jazz this year? You talking about past Jazz teams. They are no longer a ball movement team. They are in the bottom 5 in passes made per game.

What happened to that team? They were enjoyable to watch... where did it all vanish?

I have said that it's stupid if he only passes Rudy the ball all game only 2.3 times per game. I criticize every player.

Cy, yet again, quit making stuff up trying to start something.

I haven't liked Quin since Missouri. I was willing to give him a chance, but honestly never thought he was a good coach. His lack of adjustments year after year makes him mediocre at best. His inability to get players to fully buy in (what made Phil Jackson a good coach) makes him abysmal.

If Quin isn't gone, problems will remain.

It isn't just Dons lack of passing to Rudy, he slows the ball down, overdribbles, walks the ball up the court (lazy backcourt violation arguably cost us the Denver series), and wants to make hard flashy passes instead of good ones. A good coach would keep that in check, and have assistants to ensure proper development and team building happens on and off the court.

When Ingles and Niang left.

Also I'm going to lmao next game if Donovan starts passing to Rudy a lot in bad situations just to be passive aggressive.
I used to watch every single game of the Jazz I could possibly get my hands on. Hell I used to watch Exum friendlies with the Australian national team in Europe. I have to be honest - I've watched fewer games this season than ever I think... It's just not enjoyable. They all seem such a miserable bunch and there seems to be no joy in their game. This must be the worst good team I've ever seen.
