What's new

Donovan Mitchell unlikely to ask for trade per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst

One player. That’s it. Elite, yes. But we got some legit defense and toughness back. And I could totally see Don starting to buy in on defense: No Rudy, Bev and Vando in his ear, new HC.

And losing O’Neale means little. He stunk last year.
I don't think Pat Bev ends up playing here sadly. I think he gets traded somewhere else. If we aren't rebuilding then we need to keep him for sheer entertainment value.

Even if DM wants out it's perfectly understandable. Name me one star player in the middle of his prime that is just willing to sit there to watch his team do a full tear down and say "I'm OK with it." Just one.

He was always going to leave regardless of whether or not the Jazz tore it down. C'mon.

Hey here’s a thought regarding whether to wait or not.

If the Knicks assume we will wait it out, then they are happy with that. They have to feel urgency to pull the trigger on a big package, otherwise they are happy to wait it out.
I do think there is some value in that messaging as you create another bidder... yourself. I'm not saying do a deal before the KD madness... I'm saying do the deal before the season starts... so have some patience but if not as long as there is an acceptable offer... take it.

So tank, best case scenario is get another star and then he asks out. If we just ride out the rest of his contract we'll get almost a decade of DM here in Utah. If we can't build a contender in 9 years, then it is what it is.

We have given him an excuse and alibi now... we can let him save face and we can rebuild... I truly think its whats best for everyone and we can all have good feelings at the end of the day. It can be like PG instead of Harden.

Or we try to be competitive this year and use $45M in cap space and 3 picks next year to retool.

You think Herro is going to want to be in Utah?
no one's gonna say no if we give the guy tons of money. just look at mike conley. old man was reluctant to join us but now he's enjoying this perfect retirement job. not even needing to gas himself with back-to-back set.

Please, that Utahr caged heat would love to get in his pants…after a couple sexcapades, he won’t wanna leave.
Herro is a Miami boy that dates IG models and is constantly out partying.

Sklonick and Winderman say that Herro's desire to be an off-the-court star has been apparent, and that Miami has been concerned for "months" with Herro's focuses, and that those concerns have mirrored that of past Heat stars.
