Marriage and the military are disparate things. You still didn't answer my question about why you wouldn't want to serve in the military with gay people.

Calling McCain "McShame" has nothing to do with how he may or may not feel about homosexuality. This has already been pointed out, but some people continue to miss the point. Why are people arguing how the members of the military feel about repealing DADT? There was already a survey completed showing a majority of the service members have no problem with openly gay service members. What more evidence do you need? Just go back and watch the Jon Stewart video I posted. There's really nothing more that needs to be said.

As opposed to what Hollywood has been doing to marriage, or what the divorce rate says about the state of marriage today?
Anyway, each marriage is unique and defined by the people participating in it. Marriage is not a person with feelings and a reputation, it is a formal relationship, entered willingly, by two (or more) participants.

Theres an issue with people able to freely enter into the relationship, who are considered to be legally capable of forming a contract. They are not the same.

if i go into battle with someone i need to trust them.
i dont trust WEAK minded men who blame their condition on some sort of evolution/genetics/dissease. they are just makin excuses. would you go into battle with a drunk.
its just a lack of control/ mental weakness.
i would not put my life in the hand of some weak fool. i got a cousin or nephew(dont know the correct term since in the dutch language they are the same) who is gay. if someone ****s with him i'll jump in and fight for him. i will not count on him to watch my back.
