99% of Jazz fans say "The young guys will never develop without playing experience!!!"
You know what? You are wrong! You want proof? Look at the way Kanter has played in the past week. Look at the way Alec Burks played the last few month. Somehow they got better without getting very many minutes!
Players get better by practicing and working hard, not by being handed out minutes. Carroll didn't develop his jump shot by getting minutes.
Game experience helps, but it is not everything. It helps polish off the game, but first you have to put in the work.
I'm of the opinion that having Big Al around as a mentor to Kanter is better than Kanter getting 30 minutes a night.
