Draft Party? Why? Something in the air?

I don't want to see KOC make a deal because he's under pressure to do something. That usually leads to a bad move. If he can pull off something to improve the team, then great, but a boring offseason is better than making a move out of desperation.

Well it goes without saying that the deal has to be beneficial to the Jazz...

I just don't want the "We've got enough young players in our team, we have to get better from within" attitude and not actively looking out for deals that could help us in the medium or long term...

The draft party is another way for LHM Corp to promote themselves as a community invested company and keep reeling in the customers. The more people they get to come to these types of events, the more movie tickets, car leases, and season tickets they can sell.

Don't look for a trade because of the draft party. If one happens it is completely coincidental.

Half the people (slight hyperbole) are drinking in the VIP lounge at ESA. (or whatever the **** that place is called)
And less than half of the people in the Salt Lake area are Mormon, (and only half of them are active) so this is no surprise at all. Salt Lake isn't some little religious back woods monostairy, it's an NBA city where there are bars, dance clubs and strip clubs if you look for them.

It's also a very nice place to live thanks to the positive elements that are encouraged by the church.

Nicely said.

Way to take the seriousness to a joke thread. I don't know if anybody has ever told you this, but you lack a sense of humor. And you have the most pretentious username on this board. You make PKM look like a humble man.

So some people think they can post an anti Mormon post on a Salt Lake pro team message board and not offend anyone?

Some other people think that humor transfers well on a message board? Or sarcasm?

And finally, is it surprising that a message board that has fans of a very egotistical sport might have egotistical fans?

It's not that I have no sense of humor, it's that i don't have a childish immature sense of humor.

(yeah, i'm gonna get flamed. I know. Call me LeBron.......)

I'll be going for the third year in row, I think it is a lot of fun, much better than following it on TV, the excitment of the crowd is unique and enjoyable. The jazz try to provide a few distractions while you wait. Boler is Boler, the staff are all cool and the anticipation builds in dramatic fashion. The AC is free, even if the concessions aren't.

Only draw back is I miss listening to the radio (less of a problem with spence & monson), details on trades are hard to discover if you are without a smartphone, and similarly I miss reading ya'lls reactions.

You guys are lame. If I lived in SLC I would go in a hearbeat. I'm so going to drink on draft day and look up as much footage as I can on our #47 pick.

Positive elements that are encouraged by the church? Isn't that an oxymoron? Okay, okay, that was low. But seriously though?

Amateur. All you have to do is get totally hammered the night before on an all-nighter .. sleep until 5pm, start back up again, squeek consciousness to #50'ish.

Repeat.

Sounds like a lot of work to put into viewing a 47th pick.
