This is tough. You have to say that Brown is a better player right now due to his handling, passing and ability to score in different ways. But Chriss has more upside with his length and athleticism. It's a strength/motor/work ethic question with Chriss. There's also a risk that Brown is a bit of a tweener, not quite athletic and explosive enough to dominate, and not quite a consistent enough shooter to space the floor--which would make him a somewhat rich man's Shabazz.

I'm not sure if Chriss can play the SF. He might actually play more C in an athletic up-tempo line-up.

I should've voted Brown. This kid is being severely underrated imo. His abiliity to slash and get to the rim like Wade and Harden is special imo. As a frosh, his per 40 stats were 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 9.2 free throw attempts. That's pretty damn good. The free throws are off the charts (we could REALLY use a player like this) and his assists, for a frosh, are rare to see for a non point guard. His field goal percentage is low as are his more advanced shooting stats (TS% of 51.8%) but if there's one area our coaches have seemed to thrive it's with young shooters. Exum's shot looks completely different from his rookie year and even then he shot waaaaaaay better from three than we ever would have expected based on his first SL. Lyles was a stud last year after a very shaky looking SL. Hood has been great. If this kid could improve his shot selection (who knows) and shooting (I def think he could here), I think he could be a stud. Like a number one option on a team potentially. He seems to have that attack the rim like fire to him.

I like Jaylen Brown more than Stanley Johnson from last year....which doesn't say a whole lot. I wasn't very high on Stanley Johnson last year.
