DWill legitimate top 5 MVP candidate? Legler thinks so...

Deron's definitely an MVP canidate right now. The 4th-quarter he played against the Lakers may have been the best quarter of his career. He had a hand in 21-straight Utah points during that quarter, and is making the big play for the Jazz when they need it. He played hurt in Portland and is willing to take on the other team's best SG. He guarded Kobe 6 possessions (by my count) and Kobe didn't score once.
About 1/4 into the season, I'd have the MVP rankings at:
1. Dwight Howard
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Deron Williams
5. Derrick Rose
6. Russell Westbrook
7. Chris Paul
8. Manu Ginobili
9. Kevin Durant
10.Pau Gasol

You're such a homer. Not only do you have Paul ranked way too low you have Williams above him. Paul should be in the top 3 as he is the best PG since Magic. /sarcasm

I'd say you have Kobe too high. I've watched a bit of the Lakers this year (I live in Lakerland) and I think Pau has clearly been more dominant in stretches, plus they've had a soft schedule.

Also, I think Dirk and DWill could be flipped. I can't take off the homer glasses, tho.

DWill is a top 5 MVP candidate.
The only person that can stop him is Hayward when he doesn't cut across to clear.

Is MVP awarded to the best player of the best team? In the end, isn't it just a popularity contest? If so, barring an incredible run to the finals, expect no love for a Jazzman.

Just wanted to say I love your new sig, I don't know why but it made me laugh. Very Nice!
