lmfao keep barkin' about how fantastic it is that the Jazz' ceiling is the second round. So rare is it that 60% of the Western Conference has made it out of the second round more recently than the Jazz. lol

Keep barking about how fantastic it is to live life full of **** hope and pessimism. Thank you Jesus I’m not so boring and sad as you. God that must be exhausting.

Nothing sadder than investing a ton of energy into something when the end result is the exact same as the last twenty years.. To me, that's sad. I'm perfectly okay accepting the current reality of this franchise.

You'll join me when the Jazz are once again bounced after four or five games. Then we'll start this dog and pony show over again next year just to have the exact same result.

Nope. I love this team. Im proud of them already.
Only you shall continue to cry. Even harder though

If we get bounced in the first round, this season was a disappointment. And the disappointment started with a lackluster off-season followed by the extremely slow start.

Not every single part of the season was bad, but it would be as a team with regards to results. I have faith that DL will pull the plug on $25 million for Rubio, Thabo, Epke moving forward and focus that money on better value and players with potential to go with the core of this roster.

Like I said, thank god.

I am fine with it. I don't care at all about the energy you wasted over the past 20 years.

Eh I like to look at context rather than simply first round exit = failure.
Does the series go 7 games? Are the games close?
I'm disappointed by the crazy ending to the season that had us ending with Houston. But losing to Houston doesn't make the season a failure or disappointment to me. We should lose to them. They are the better team. In fact they are the best team in the NBA the second half of the season. They have the MVP and a sure fire hall of famer. We have no all stars and team is everything motto, with plenty of flaws. We aren't there yet. Meanwhile Houston is a contender for a championship.

Same goes for Sean's argument. He simply sees that we haven't been to the wcf in a long time and sees failures everywhere instead of looking at why we haven't been there. What team since the d-will era should have been in the wcf? Have we had the talent to get there? I don't think so. After d-will left and Sloan left we were kinda screwed. Then we tanked. Then we rebuilt. Then right when we were getting closer to having the talent to get to the wcf again our lone all star left for browner pastures. We had to start building again and we amazingly were able to continue to make the playoffs. We are once again close to being able to make some noise in the playoffs but need another piece to take another step. Hopefully we get that piece in the off-season.

Here is a good look at what has happened to the jazz recently. (Last 10 years)

Gotta look what ya see the last few years. Unless you are Sean. Then you just say "4th sucks, we should be first"

No. Continually finishing 5th in the WC, which positions yourself for a near-impossible second round match-up if you're lucky enough to get out of the first round, sucks.

One day the Jazz won't struggle for half the season and put together an effort that bumps 'em to the top-three and positions the team well for a playoff run. But that day isn't today. Until that happens, yeah, I'm going to express my disappointment and I don't really care if I have yours, or anyone's, approval to do it.

Oh you mean like how if the jazz were the 6th seed they would be going against a beatable Portland team and a nuggets team that they own and have a pretty good chance at the wcf?
There is a lot of luck involved in this stuff. And again, you expecting them to get the 3 seed or higher without an all star is your bad.

How many teams have got the 3 seed or better in the West with no all stars?

Or anywhere, ever for that matter?

Looking at the NBA predictions contest from back in October, it appears a vast majority of fans thought the Jazz would finish third or better, so...
