Eenie-Meenie's Up Close and Personal Observations of the Jazz players' shooting ability

I was at the game as well, 9th row by player tunnel for Jazz.

Couple personal thoughts.

1. Dick move by Hayward not to sign for fans as other Jazz players did. Especially in Indiana. My son and his friend were looking and we got in as soon as arena opened.
2. Trey Burke was cool. When we got in he was doing video analysis right in front of us in normal stadium seats. My son and friend and other just waited 10 mins and when he was done took the time and got nice pic of the 3 of them. Very cool.
3. Davis Locke was very cool and approachable as well. Talked to him for 5 mins in the tunnel.
As to the game, I think the offense needs to go thru Hayward, almost always. H doesn't need to shoot, but that is when we are at our best as is he. I like the concept of a balanced offense, but usually that doesn't match salary expectations. So if the Jazz are good paying Hayward 63 million to be just one of the guys, I guess that is their call.
4. Hayward shrugging his shoulders a lot playing after not getting a call is really pissing me off. No doubt Hayward's body language he is now very comfortable in the NBA , maybe 2 comfortable. Think 1st part of Rocky 3. Hayward may need a wake up call if he keeps it up. Maybe benched or minutes reduced if needed for a game or 2. I LOVE Hayward, but he is a little too comfortable right now... He needs to get the Eye of the Tiger Back!

Having not gone to many games, did not know where the tunnel was or how you get in early to talk to guys, etc. How do you do that? Also, did you see my PM? Was hoping you would respond. I was in row 18, not directly behind but a little to the left of the backboard, had a good view of things. Didn't notice the "dick" attitude of Hayward during the game, but maybe you felt this because he didn't sign an autograph? And so far as the calls -- they were butchering Hayward, especially in the first half. I'm surprised no one got a technical. I was screaming like crazy and people thought I was nuts because of course, I was the only Jazz fan around. I was looking for your group but didn't see anyone with Hayward shirts. The refs seemed to clean up their act in the second half though and you know the result.

I have to say, also, that I am surprised by your Hayward comment. I just didn't sense anything like that during the game. I saw no reason, whatsoever, to bench him. Kind of nuts if you ask me.

Just saw your PM today...busy..my Bad. I was in Section 12 off center left of Jazz behind basket. I was in a blue Hayward Jersey, my son green Hayward.


I meant Dick move not signing autographs. We got right as the gates opened at 6pm... Previous years Hayward made himself avaialbale in that 6-6:20 rang and he signed.

I saw several times in the the game where Hayward had the dropped shoulders in frustration. Per David Locke a year or so , Jazz coached him not to do that. Notice this year Hayward cheers much more from the bench. He never used to do that. He is the leader of the team and needs to act like it.

I didn't mean bench in the Indy Game. I meant if his offense is way off, he should be treated like any other player. May be a good wake up call if he needs it.....I hope he doesn't

On the plus side, with Hayward as our leader (and Favs), think how "nice" of a team we have. So much more welcoming to rookies.
Remember Haywards rookie year where he and Evans had to chase balls in ESA when Dwill and the team punted all the balls after practice.

I like our team a lot...I prefer if Hayward is the offensive go to guy, always (to at least facilitate). When he is not involved he sits in the corner and watches. Waste of $63 million.
