Maybe we should stop sending crazy people weapons.

This.

It pisses me off to no end that we are still sending them $1.5 billion per year.

So we don't have any money to spare on America but we have plenty to hand out to some garbage dump? And just how much of that money will be used against us if we have to intervene?

Foreign aid is thee biggest Ponzi scheme in America. Steal from taxpayers to make a few contractors and foreigners über rich.

Personally, I think this is a good thing. Freedom isn't free. People will always care more about the freedom they had to fight and die for than the illusion of freedom artificially enacted and sustained by colonial powers.

Let them duke this out. With any luck, they'll come out more pacifist and actually value human life.

The problem is it's a military crackdown and they already fought it out with the state police 2 years ago. They overthrew a dictator and now their military is using US weapons to perform a coup on a democratically elected president.

We could just quite sending tanks, bombs, and planes to everyone.
I agree with this 100%
Besides I think most people Know which countries are bat **** crazy and are destined to erupt into violence.
It's all about viewpoint. There are plenty of people that think Americans are bat**** crazy and Iran is normal.

Yeah, how many of them think the US is more likely than Iran to erupt into sectarian violence and destabilize.

If we are giving aid to a foreign country that they will use to buy American made weapons, isn't the real recipient of the money American corporations?

Yes they are. Which is why we keep doing it in the face of staggering evidence that it is counterproductive.

Exactly.

Which is why we need to stay out and let them figure out their own problems.

How likely do you think it is that the world will see a straight up war between Shi'a and Sunni in the middle east.

War in Syria
Increased tensions and attacks in Lebanon
Increased tensions and attacks in Egypt
Attcks in Iraq
Sunnis (Qatar, Saudi Arabia) funding one side
Shi'a (Iran, Syria gov.) funding the other

I think Israel would be incredibly lucky if they were able to stay out of that one^
