Don't even know where to start. Wall was picked 1, not 2. Yes, I'd pick Wall 399 days per year ahead of everyone in this draft. The stats mean ZERO. I've watched every UK game since 1977 ... it's apples and oranges .. even one year to the next.

With that said, you have not watched one game with kanter at uk. How can you say you would take kanter easily over knight? I dont care how close you claim you are to the program, in this case i think you have'nt a clue.

Perhaps you're right. I do suggest I've seen 'more' than others though. I've watched him go head-to-head against NBA veteran Nazr Mohammed (not an all-star, but certainly a nice gauge) and kicked his head in. Also saw him go against Cousins with the same result, though in fairness, Demarcus was going only about 80%.

I said 'I' would take him easily over Knight. I never said he is 'clearly' the better player (like it's an obvious, forgone conclusion). Not trying to be offensive or a know-it-all, just sharing what I've seen for those that may be interested.

I know there are many who will disagree, but I wasn't overly impressed because I don't see alot of Kanter's points transitioning to the NBA. I like his mid-range jumper, liked his nice little drive and spin, liked his good hands and hard work on the boards, but to me alot of his baskets came because he was just catching and finishing at the rim over guys he was either taller or stronger than. Those advantages won't often be there in the NBA.

I don't think he'll be a bust, but I also don't think he'll be more than a role-player and I'm not sure that's what you want when picking a center w/out elite size that high. I just don't see him becoming much of a difference-maker in the paint.

You don't think his rebounding will translate?

Not vslice02, but I believe his rebounding will absolutely translate. I'd say rebounding, strength, and footwork are his greatest NBA-esque talents.

Kanter is a lock to go number 1. Not sure why these threads keep popping up. I've stated it numerous times since the lotto. Y'all should know better than to doubt my credence.

Wow, tough question for my heart. Brandon is one of my all time favorites at UK. His work ethic, team-first attitude, clutch play, smarts, and scoring ability were dear to my heart. Having said that, he has GOT to get better at absorbing contact (avoids it too much), has GOT to work on his blow-by ablity (I think he has the ability, but hurt the team a bit when in the half-court and couldn't get by his guy, very easily).

Brandon will find a way and will not be denied, but it may take him a year longer than Kyrie, Kanter, etc. (I feel the same about Williams though, so take that for what it's worth.)

Kanter is a man among boys, from what I saw, and I would have NO fear of him being worthy of a top 3 pick.

Thanks for sharing. I think we share the same feelings on the situation Kanter over Knight, but if we end up we Brandon we'll love him (but still feel
we probably missed out of the better player).

Love the insight. It's good to hear people's views who have seen these players play a lot. Feel free to share anything else about these two.
We are all ears (ie eyes on screen).

At the combine, they repeated a phrase many times, "Bigs rise and small players drop". When workouts start happening for various teams, I am willing to bet the demand for Kanter will rise.
