Except, the person in the plural marriage is already married. It's not a choice between marrying someone you don't want to be sexually involved with and not being married at all, it's achoice between being married and being married.

If you have a solid plan for overcoming the legal hurdles, lets hear it. As far as I'm concenred, that's the only issue in the way.

All that needs to be done is arbitrary lines drawn. Courts can do that just fine as cases arise.

I say let whoever wants to marry, marry. If Man A wants to marry Women A, B, and C. Fine. If Women A, B, and C just want to marry Man A, fine. If they also want to marry each other, fine. Get rid of the whole alimony system (in all kinds of marriage) and you eliminate more of the trickier problems. I'd be all for that. But I'm sure distinctions could be drawn over time just like in "regular" marriage.

Starting from scratcvh with no legal basis? Thyat process would take decades, in every state.

So, yougive up your career for the sake of teh family, and when your spouse leaves, you automatically get nothing? I don't think I could support that.
 
I dont think it would take decades. We came to a consensus with "regular" marriage laws. We should b able to do the same to treat everyone equally.
 
Most of the work on regular marriage laws were done by the legislature, not the courts.

Nobody is arguing that climate change doesn't happen naturally over millions and millions of year. The reason the concept of climate change is so harrowing to us observers of statistics and recognized facts, is that climate change has occurred well beyond the standard deviation over the last 50 years.

Any terms or concepts you "conservatards" need me to explain?
