Eric Gordon - The Jazz's answer to the 3pt

Please reread what I wrote. "Close to the max", and for me that means about $10 to $12 million a year.

I did misread your comment but I still think $10 is too high. How is he more productive than Millsap? The guy certainly can score but he isn't going to get as many shots as he did with the Clippers besides not knowing how bad his injury is. I think he might be slightly higher than mid-level exception (S6million). That is if he is healthy.

Someone is going to pay him bigger bucks. I think he's one of the better 2 guards in the league and he has his whole career ahead of him.

Millsap is the best contract in the NBA that is not a rookie contract. Not even close to a fair comparison.

He hasn't played much for the hornets, so let take a look at his stats from last year.

Points per game: 22.3
Assists: 4.4
Reb: 2.9
3pt: 36.4%
fg%: 45%
Ft%: 82.5

Current age: 23

Wings with contracts around 6 million:
Korver
Wes matthews
Barbosa
Posey
Redick
Hill

He is already better than all of these players, with plenty of room to grow still... If he can stay on the court.

I see a deal at 8-9 million heading his way, if not from us then from someone else.

I see at least around a 11-12 million dollar deal, if not more.

I am starting to get the feeling that your whole reason for existence is to go against that grain. That or you can never truly be happy.

Agree 100%.
I have always felt like cryrone just disagrees with everyone just to disagree. if you say the sky is blue, then cryrone would soon post that it is red. That just seems to be his schtick, although i dont even know if he does it on purpose.
I think he is probably just a disagreeable (negative) person in real life. poor guy.

He's restricted so the Jazz have little chance of landing him. Is anyone going to make the argument for why NO lets the biggest piece they received back for CP3 walk? They match anything Gordon is worth. If they don't match then you're overpaying plain and simple.

A championship run is worth overpaying for. Anything less is folly.

Demps already saying he will be their cornerstone. Probably wise for them to not overpay and let the market dictate his price. As you say they now have Kaman as like the 5th big man, Aminu may never be very good so yeah little chance they let him walk.
