Dude is a relentless rebounder and defender. I don't think he'll ever become a franchise type player. But he's be the Lebron James of garbage-man players.

Millsap is better. I like Millsap more than most here though. I'd like to keep him until he retires in some capacity or another.

Wes, he can play 3 and also 5(small ball) for very short stretchs, but he said many times that he hates playing 3.
He's the best defensive turkish player after Asik, but the gap isn't that much. That means he's well above average defensively. While Asik is locking the paint and protecting the rim, Ilyasova does all the hustle plays, dirty jobs and just doesn't stop one bit.
In addition, his game IQ is very high on both of ends. His positioning, quick jumping while his hands are up in the air, and his athleticism with crazy body length are his strengths. His shooting's not great, but is definitely well enough, especially watching his long distance rainbow shots is a real pleasure to the eye when he's streaking. And of course it's not necessary to mention his tremendous rebounding ability, he's one of the three turks who are among the top ten players in the NBA in the rebounding per48 list. (Asik and Kanter are the other two)
His weaknesses... He can create his own shot occasionally, but he can't do that consistently and doesn't have the will anyway. His general consistency was a problem all the time(in the NBA) but I really can't blame him for this. He has some bad habits like really really stupid fakes and some small problems in his fundemantle. His fundemantle is generally great though. He's not a stronge dude, he can cover that with his length and well positioning most of the time but sometimes he can be a weak spot down the low post. His biggest weakness is his laid back personality to me, even though he's showing great improvement about it lately.
He really tried to stay in istanbul and I wanted the same but the Bucks didn't let him to. Apparently, that happened to be so good for him, after his performance since the late Jan(Bogut's injury), I became pretty hopeful about his future. Even if he slows down, he's gonna have lots of good offers at the end of the season. He's in the trade talks too.
Ersan is the type of the player that I would like to have in my team any time. So is Millsap. But if we consider the late performances, I say Ersan has the edge. Millsap will always be the (slightly)better offensive player with the ability to create his own shoot in the post. But Ersan will always be the (a lot) better defender and never will fall short(literally) length wise at the 4(we all know Millsap hurts the team when it comes to length, especially against the teams with tall frontcourt). Ersan now began to show some clutchness too. And I believe Ersan will have a good price/performance contract next year and won't exceed Millsap's.
Just to clarify btw, I am not saying that the Jazz should get Ilyasova nor send Millsap. The Jazz are set for the future in the frontcourt and Ersan isn't the slasher that we need and he doesn't have the ability to play the 3 all the time.
But I really would like having him on the Jazz, hopefully one day that occurs.
