Espn. Are they racists or just that stupid!

Early this morning at 2:05am there was a headline on their Espn mobile ap that read "***** in the armor" referring to the Knicks loss.

Is Espn really that stupid?? Were they trying to be clever. "***** is a headline they use a lot, but they have to be smarter then this! I think someone will lose their job over this. Espn did change the headline a half hour later and issued a statement, basically saying they are looking into the blunder.

C-hink. I'm assuming they just made a mistake, can't see them doing something this dumb on purpose. Also, you really like exclamation points don't you?

Good hell there are way too many sensitive people in this world. Big ****ing deal. I chuckled when I saw the headline. I guess I'm a racist.

Yes, you're probably a racist. It is clear to everyone that using racial slurs as puns in newspaper headlines is unacceptable. This has nothing to do with over-the-top political correctness.

Forgive my sensitivity! What the hell was I thinking bringing up a topic on a message board where a variety of topics are discussed!

For the record it didn't offend me. I brought it up because it's Espn, so it interested me.

Don't be so sensitive.

Do you honestly think that ESPN decided to use a racial slur on purpose in regards to a player they've been hyping up for a week? C'mon.

I don't see how that relates to what I said. He responded that the headline was funny to him, and that people were being sensitive. In reality, the headline is very obviously offensive (and thus, it was removed once noticed).

If you saw a headline that reads "Ayon is a **** of shining metal". The first thing you should think is "Wow, what idiot wrote that". If you go "Haha, it's true, what a ****!" Then you're a racist.

Its not as racist as some Asian terms. Someone on this forum even called me a "slobbering Mongoloid." All Asians are mongoloids meaning they have Mongolic descent. Thats a term that whites have been saying to Asians for centuries in a way saying they are sub humans.

Btw this was from someone who claims to be LDS. I thought you guys were kind.

....yeah, but those same people who complain about this.....probably are loaded with jailhouse tats, smoke dope on a regular basis and have probably born multiple children out of wedlock! But then again, maybe not.

I laughed at this as well, but I'm just a ******.

When you have to think this much and have THIS much of an explanation about whether it's racist or not, it probably isn't.

Chillax folks, ESPN isn't going to offend that growing Asian market nor are they going to bash the player they've hyped more than Tim Tebow.
