Espn. Are they racists or just that stupid!

https://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/7591778/espn-statement-offensive-jeremy-lin-comments

At ESPN we are aware of three offensive and inappropriate comments made on ESPN outlets during our coverage of Jeremy Lin.

Saturday we apologized for two references. We have since learned of a similar reference Friday on ESPN Radio New York. The incidents were separate and different. We have engaged in a thorough review of all three and have taken the following action:

• The ESPN employee responsible for our Mobile headline has been dismissed.

• The ESPNEWS anchor has been suspended for 30 days.

• The radio commentator is not an ESPN employee.

We again apologize, especially to Mr. Lin. His accomplishments are a source of great pride to the Asian-American community, including the Asian-American employees at ESPN. Through self-examination, improved editorial practices and controls, and response to constructive criticism, we will be better in the future.

This racism business is nonsense. Racist is just a term used by the elites for thought control. Just look at how some of the people who posted here are completely outraged over this travesty. They've got you right where they want you. As long as the media continues to shove this down our throats, people will play the I'm outraged card, and they don't even realize that've been manipulated into doing it.

This smells fishy to me...

But I am LDS, even though I break the mold and am awesome. To my credit, I didn't know that Mongloid (that's how I spell it, so there) was an offensive term. Now that I know it is, I will be sure to use it more often.

Did you know that they used to call Down's Syndrome "Mongolism"? I'll let you ascertain why, Corky.

I'm glad that we have a nice discussion thread about racism. I am working to put together a group to go protest a small restaurant in Paradise Utah called "The Cracker Barrel". How can they be so insensitive to whites?

That chain restaurant? It should be shut down because it's disgusting.

Question is, does Lin give a damm about any of this?

I'll bet he doesn't.

Probably not and he shouldn't. I do not think it was rascist by ESPN. Perhaps stupid and unthinking but not rascist. Guy should not have lost his job.

People are so hyper sensitized to race that it is sad. Rascism will always bee there as long as everyhting is about race. I personally don't give a rats behind what a person looks like or where they came from as long as they are good people.

But you can hate someone as much as you want, as long as they are a bad person.
That's why liberals can hate conservatives. Conservatives are bad people.

Ain't life grand?

Thank goodness I see things differently. I see those that are full of hate as the bad people (not implying liberals are all full of hate).

But yea society is turning into anyone who thinks differently than you is a bad person. Pathetic.
