ESPN Has Two Predictions Regarding The Jazz

An 80 year old Sloan is going to replace Corbin?
ESPN is like the Miley Cyrus of sports news.

I was going to go with "horrible predictions" as the phrase, myself.

I can accept that. There are a couple safe bets liek the Lebron MVP one but I do not see Sloan coaching ever again.

I think the hayward prediction is a lot more likely than Sloan coaching.

With that said, I know Ty has mostly been given a free pass as far as wins/losses this year, but what happens if Ty starts messing up the wing and big rotations really bad when everyone is healthy, and we are simultaneously losing? We could potentially start the season without a win until the home game vs Denver, making us 0-7 to start. Does the F/O really chalk that up to youth struggles?

I should clarify, I think we have a chance at winning each one of these road games. BK hasn't figured it out yet, Celtics suck, Chicago is letting Rose adjust on the job, and TOR is just that.

I should clarify, I think we have a chance to win all 4 of these road games. BK hasn't figured it out yet, Celtics suck, Chicago is letting Rose adjust on the job, and TOR is just that.

I certainly don't. Four road games in five days? Come on. I'll be surprised if we win more than one.

Both of these predictions could come true. I see the Sloan one as less likely. If Ty is fired, they would probably just have one of the assistants be the interim coach.

I just reread it, and realized how weirdly worded it was. Let's try this again:

"I should clarify, I think we have a chance at winning each one of these road games. BK hasn't figured it out yet, Celtics suck, Chicago is letting Rose adjust on the job, and TOR is just that."

I like Hayward, I want him with us, but it's a little premature to anoint him "the face of our franchise" moving forward.

And I'd be thrilled if Sloan came back. I love that man.

Sloan is not coming back. ESPN doesn't know **** about the Utah Jazz. They never will.

Oh I agree abotu the ESPN angle on Utah. Just thought I would share is all.

My guess is Sloan probably told Jazz management up front that he won't come back to coach if that's their ultimate plan is in his new advisory role.

Plus, regardless of what you think of Corbin, that would be a pretty ****ty thing to do to him if you're Jerry Sloan.

As far as the Hayward prediction, he will get considerably more than the final offer made by Utah last week; but it won't be a max deal.

The Jazz had better not fire Corbin this year. If they do that, they should have done it last year after the All-Star break and let Horny have a chance.

how much more is considerable more than their offer? The max he could get was only about 2 million more in the starting year than the Jazz were offering, and that is from the Jazz. I think if he signs with another team, the max they can give him is somewhere around 58 mil for 4 years, and the Jazz can offer 62 mil for 4 years, or like 80 million for 5 years. Anyway, the point is there is not much higher other teams can go without offering a max offer to Hayward.

He'll get more.
