What's new

ESPN via AP says...

that one was John Denver... I'm not surprised you haven't heard of him. His target audience is a big more intellectual than German industrial metal.

Oh ya, the skinny white guy who did drugs his whole life and died in a drunken fiery plane that he sent straight into the ground. Yes, he and his fan base were writhing in intellect. How's Freddy Mercury doing these days?

I didn't say you were wrong. Just saying it was just your guess. Nobody knows for sure, outside maybe a handful of people.

Thank you. You are gentleman and a scholar.

My language was vague and a bit too direct. I was just so excited about pwning nubes in 2k11 with the Heat...

Look at the pro's and con's of Lebron going to each of the teams he's interested in

Miami
Pro's: Creates a triumvirate which rivals Rush in the greatest of all time discussion. Definite favorite to win next year. Trading Beasley could even acquire a decent PG/SG (Wade could be the Point). Coaching (Pat Riley).
Con's: Creates the stigma of he couldn't/didn't when one without Dwayne Wade. Not a superb world market like LA, NYC, Chicago.

Cleveland
Pro's: Lebron's home. Can offer the 6th year. Some supporting cast.
Con's: Cleveland is ****. Team is very unlikely to win a championship in the near future. No Cap-Room.

Chicago:
Pro's: Derrek Rose. World Market. Good supporting cast. More cap-room/options to pick up a Boozer/Lee.
Con's: Might be a few years for Rose to develop into a championship caliber team floor-general. Not instantly a contender (but close). Living up to MJ stigma.

NYK
Pro's: Number 1 market in the world (instant world-star), opportunities beyond basketball, D'Antoni's team inflates stats, Amar'e. Team would probably win a lot of games. More cap space (but not enought to pick up a max). Could acquire Carmello in a year.
Con's: A contender-- but probably not organized enough to beat teams which have dismantled D'Antoni before. No point guard.

NJ
Pro's: Proximity to number 1 market in the world. Prokhorov. Decent supporting players (Harris, Lopez, Lee, Favors). Cap room. Can build a team beyond 2010
Con's: Not enough talent to contend.

I think the fact that Bosh flat out refused to play in Cleveland made LeBron realize that even the King couldn't attract top talent to Cleveland. He's gone.

I still don't think Miami, I don't think he get the perception that he was in some way whatsoever riding Wade's coattails to a championship.

NY would spend like a mad dog to surround LeBron. He'd get Amare this year and Carmelo next(maybe).

Chicago would be a perfect choice I think. Rose, Noah, FA room. Sign and trade options with Deng. I think they have a better chance than most think.

NJ - eh don't think he wants to play in Newark. Not as nearly appealing as NY, Chi, or Mia.

My guess is that Lebron and DWade aren't as tight as everyone thinks. DWade and Bosh will get MAX contracts. And Lebron will either announce he's going to the Brooklyn Nets or staying with the Cavs.

Prokhorov can probably earn him as much in new endorsements in Russia as he'd lose by signing a 5-yr contract. NJ has a pretty good core in place. So does Chicago, but Reinsdorf has never exceeded the tax threshold. That's not an issue with Prokhorov. He'll spend whatever it takes to build a contender.
