I think you are mistaking our two new PG's for superstars. There's a reason that the Miami Heat have the 'big 3', not the 'big 14'. A team can only afford to pay for three franchise players, the rest have to be efficient average players, and from the few summerleague games that I have seen, our new point guards are just that. And that's both fine and expected, we got Trey ninth in a bad draft and Raul was a second round pick. If either of them start for a playoff series, they are already outperforming their draft position. The good news is that even though Trey isn't the fastest or the tallest player, his team leadership will make him worth keeping.
