Looked up Hood and names that go with it. I picked BANG...with his quick release it would go Bang hits another 3.

How about BURN for Dante. Burn drives and kicks it out to Bang and BANG another 3. Burn drives and scorches the Heat with a dunk. Burn and Bang pick your poison.
 
Inferno ftw. By far the best nickname - and I think a really cool one. HE'S ON FIRE!!

Hood? Just call him Hood. That's kinda badass on it's own.

Or you can just call him Inferno, which is way cooler.
 
I like X and DX. There's a few exceptions (the Mailman, the Admiral, the Answer) but for the most part, cheesy nicknames (Black Mamba) are stupid.

If someone's name naturally lends itself to an easy abbreviation (KD, KG) I say you just roll with it.

Plus I think anything with X sounds kind of edgy.
