I've been waiting for this site to get updated to show play from the last two weeks. Dante has driven several times into contact and gotten no-calls, many of which I thought on first viewing to be correct no-calls but others disagreed. I will post all the plays (that I can remember) so we can get a better look on replays and see why Dante is not getting the call.

I believe this is kind of a good example of a lot of Dante's drives. He goes hard and gets good elevation, but right when he is going into a defenders body he tries to greatly change his shot instead of trying to go through the defender and forcing more contact. On this play KAT maintains pretty good verticality for most the of the time him and Dante are in contact. As Dante changes his shot KAT does move his arm, but because Dante adjusted mid-air, KAT's arm largely avoids any contact with Dante. I believe if Dante just goes up and tries to go through his arms, he gets a call on this play.

Really good verticality by Kanter on this one. Exum tries to adjust in mid-air again instead of finishing through and forcing more contact.

Another weird play by Dante IMO. He beats Kanter and has a clear path to the glass for a relatively easy finish. He turns that corner with more of a purpose and he is drawing more body contact and getting that and-1 off the glass, but instead he goes up at a bad angle and bails on the finish before he can get to the glass. Should a foul have been called? I'm not sure on this one, but I am sure if Dante goes to the glass with more of a purpose then he gets the foul and the finish.
Anyways those were the 3 plays I remember there being a discussion about whether Dante got boned by the refs or were legitimate no calls. I'm interested to hear what others think from these replays.
It's clear to me once Dante gets some more strength and more comfort back in his knee he will be really good around the rim on finishes and drawing contact. Biggest thing he needs to do is really go up strong and not go 90% of the way on his takes, and I'm guessing most of that indecision comes from the surgery.
