I wrote this out and thought it had posted before, but it seems to have disappeared.

18 games ago, on January 23 the Jazz were 11 games behind the Wolves (they've gained 9), 10.5 behind the Spurs (they've gained 8.5), 7.5 behind the Thunder (they've gained 5.5), 6.5 behind the Pelicans (they've gained 3), 6 behind the Blazers (they've gained 2), 5 behind the Nuggets (they've gained 5) and 4.5 behind the Clippers (they've gained 4.5). If the next 17 games go the way the previous 18 did the only team that's safely ahead is Portland, New Orleans will be hanging on by the slimmest of margins, and Down Under will be sporting a fancy new user name because something he said had an "absolutely 0% chance of happening" will have happened.

(edit: Just discovered that my original post went to a different thread. Don't know how that happened. Oh well.)

Dude the point is what are the chances that what has happened in the last 18 -20 games will keep going ?
We’ll check back in at the end of the season, until then just chill and take it all with a grain of salt and enjoy the ride. I know I will be

Yeah... your point is lost on me. I'm here because I'm a fan, not because I want to temper my expectations. Do you work in a cancer ward counseling families or something?

No. You tell us how you are just here to temper expectations = you might have a job where tempering expectations is important. I was just asking if that's what you do, not telling you that's what you do. Was I right?
 
I love when people on the forum have put themselves in the awkward position of having to root against the Jazz.

Lol sure. I love it when people deliberately misrepresent others points of view rather than debate the topic and argue their point of view.

I hope I’m wrong and we win every game and I’m left with egg on my face and finish 3rd or 4th, if that happens I’ll be the first to rejoice and happily admit I was wrong. But I’m not backtracking that I think it’s nigh on impossible realistically. Either way I will thoroughly enjoy the ride for the last month and cheer for us every game.
