Farewell to Andrei

I have been one of AK biggest fans since he joined the Jazz. So, not surprisingly, his career has been a huge disappointment to me. No, his failures have not been all his fault, but he has to share part of the blame for not working to improve himself.

In frustration, I had a pet name for him whenever he failed to meet my expectations. I'm sure AK haters on this board might use it whenever they refer to him -- STINKOLINKO.

It's definitely better than Raja Smell, who actually is more deserving of our disapprobation.

How are you so sure we arent going to resign him? He himself said he would take less money to stay here.

I read in hoopshype today, . Andrei's apparently willing to take as little as $5 million a year to come back. I hope he will stay.

I'm a die hard fan of Jazz players, probably to a fault. AK is most likely gone, but I'll always love the Russian Assassin for what he's done for this team.

God bless the Russian Czar.( hot rod)

I feel that that is too much money to pay for AK at this juncture. I'd take him for 3 years, 10 million. I love AK, and it's a shame the way things turned out with him. I always had high hopes for him -- and sometimes he exceeded them in spectacular fashion. And I'll always love him for giving me those thrills and chills. But if he wants 5 million a year, it's time for a divorce.

Sorry, AK. You look like a crone from a child's night terrors.

Andrei leaving is not the forgone conclusion many think it is.

Keeping him at $5M would be okay in my book.

If he goes, though, I would still probably sleep just fine.

If we had to choose who to keep: Miles or AK, who do you choose?

CJ = team option @ 3.7 million, 24 years old. No brainer.

Ak @ 3.7 Million a year @ 2-3 years? Whatever. AK off the bench? Whatever. I hope Utah finds a better alternative. Not likely.

Somebody will offer AK more than that. Guess we'll see how much he values this community, and whether or not money is < than situation.

Miles or AK? No question, AK.

But I will lose no sleep over either or both of them walking away. We are poised to move in a different direction. Hayward is what we hoped CJ would become and AK is on the downhill side of his career.

I wouldn't object the Jazz to keeping him at a cheap price, but honestly I wonder if it's better for both parties if he just goes to another team. Hopefully in the EC or Europe.
