When Brooks was in Houston he was over a 40% 3pt shooter. He is a defensive liability but he can score inside and outside.

Just to be clear there was one season where he shot 40% from 3 and even that season he actually only shot .398%. Other than that one season he has not been that great with season numbers being .330%, .336%, .398%, .284%, .328%, .297%, and a career average of 36.3% so really he should fit right in here as a guy who once shot pretty good from downtown but now not as much.

However his 85% free throw shooting would be season changing for the 50% shooting Jazz.

Dragic - Yes
Illyasova - I like him, but we don't need him.
Batum - Hell yes
Rush - Yes please
Novak - Meh, no thanks
Lee - Meh, I don't care either way
Belinelli - I just remember we argued whether he was better than Raja or not. I say no thanks.
Delfino - Same thing I said about Belinelli
Mo Williams - No
Nash - For a reasonable contract
Bayless - I'd be ok with it
Fernandez - No
Andre Miller - No
Shannon Brown - I like him, but no.
Landry Fields - Not a fan
Aaron Brooks - No thanks, not a fan.
Augustin - Yes
Farmar - Not a chance in hell
George Hill - I'd take him
AK - It's time to move on.

I'm very similar to you but would consider Mo Williams. Ilyasova also intrigues me. He can play the 3 or 4 and would be a sweet stretch 4. He shot 38% from 3 or so I think. Don't feel like looking it up. He put up some monster games the last couple months and has elite rebounding numbers. I think if we're going PG, we should seriously consider Augustin. He'd be relatively cheap (3-4M a year?), especially compared to Dragic (who I have a bad feeling about) I think. I also don't think many people are high on him. But he's young (24), had solid pg numbers this year (6.4 assists in just 29.3 minutes on a talent-void Charlotte team this year; that's 7.42 in 34 minutes a game) and could probably put up 8.5-9 dimes here in starter's minutes considering the increase in talent around him. Nothing to sneeze about. How is he at creating? Penetrating? Shooting? I have to think his awful shooting this year is more of a reflection of just how bad his team was. Not him necessarily. Does he feel like a loser from those who've watched him? His teams always sucked in the NBA. Didn't his Texas teams underachieve? That would be my biggest concern. Winning. Maybe IQ.

If we don't land the GS pick, I'd strongly consider him--three years, 8M?
I'd also consider maybe making a hard push for Batum and even overpay some to force Portland's hand. If that well dries up, I'd definitely go after Rush. Hell, if the word is Batum will cost too much, I may even pursue Rush first.
Ilyasova intrigues me most after that.
After that, Ilyasova tickles my fancy.
Then Hill, Nash, Williams, Lee and Bayless.

I agree with this. Except bayless , williams and lee. Ilyasova definitely intrigues me too.

Outside of Batum and maybe Novak, we should be targeting no FA's that want more than a one year deal. But we'll never get Batum.

Why do some people not like Lee, Bayless or Mo Williams. All could play 1 and 2 and a good shooters. I would love Lee, great defensive player too

You never can tell just how a guy would fit. They might work. But so far they dont seem like those players would elevate us any or fit
