Collier learning how to shoot and score is such a huge inflection point for the Jazz's future.

I think he will be able to score. In college he had a good game around the basket. When he learns how to use his strength to dislodge defenders without committing a foul, he will be able to get those Sexton type buckets around the basket. But the shooting is so far away it's scary to think about.

His strength/speed combo might be the best I've ever seen out of a shorter guard (maybe Russ Westbrook)

I just realized, it was after Sexton getting sidelined in the first quarter, the last three quarters Lauri looked to be more active and more involved than most of the games lately.

But why? Is it because they are shopping Sexton, so using Lauri almost mainly as floor spacer has allowed the most operating room in the paint for Sexton? Or is it the fact that Lauri has the best chemistry with Collier and Clarkson out of all guards, which he now shared more minutes with. They mesh together with Lauri much better than the pairing of Sexton and Keyonte.

Lauri took 11 shots....sexton played 2 minutes.

Do you think he will be able to do brunson things in the future? A poor man's brunson in regards to scoring around the hoop using his physicality?

I'm not really talking about only taken shots, but he moved in a wider area than lately. I don't know if it has been his back or what, but last few games he's been mainly parking in the corner. Of course he did that a lot last night as well, but seemed the role was a bit different with Sexton out. Collin really sees only the rim and is very effective in what he does. If Lauri would be roaming in the paint to join Kessler and maybe Collins, the paint would be way too packed for Sexton to drive as well. He'd end up I to trouble much more. In a long term, Sexton like guard+ non shooting center is less than ideal fit with Lauri's offense (he needs even much more room in the paint than Sexton to operate efficiently.)

Look that dump truck of his is gonna be a problem on both sides of the court. He is at least willing to shoot the open 3s. Some of the bad shooters couldn't get there... and some shot them too much (THT).

Will cross my fingers but at very least I think he's an awesome backup. Really impressive rookie and a home run in a ****** draft at the end of the first.

Did anyone else think the camera work of the game was not so good. It was so zoomed in on a lot of the plays that when a quick pass happened, those were missed because it's too difficult to pan back an forth when that zoomed in. And they didn't use that angle we all know that's so common of the entire half court during plays, so you can see all of the off-ball stuff happening as well. I've never had a complaint before, it just seems it was this one game.

They've sucked for years.
