Game Thread Feb 09, 2026 05:30PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat

Added to Calendar: 02-09-26

For the people who hated the JJJ trade I just want to know what their idea was for vaulting our defense from league-worst to where it eventually needs to be to win a championship.

Getting a young DPOY-tier player that fits in seamlessly with the rest of our team is an absolute Godsend.
Did people hate the JJJ trade?

There is a thread titled "grade the jazz trade deadline" or something. 66 people voted. There were zero D or F votes.

We gave up tank commanders for JJJ. It's insane
The 3 firsts are what Memphis wanted from us.
But ya, we won the trade for sure

You're making a lot of false comparisons.

The Jazz have far more control over losing games than teams do of winning a championship, or having success by "deploying secret weapons".
I think he was mostly joking and simply pointing out that assuming that the jazz will simply keep the pick because they feel like it is not quite so simple.

What a crappy win. JJJ and giving away 3 picks isn't enough for gifting a lottery pick to the thunder.

Terrible tank loss. Although Brice didn't shoot well for most of the game, I feel he shouldn't have been on the court at the end because he's capable. Better to close our games with non-shooters.

This would have been a hard game to lose. Heat without Herro or Powell are just too easy to guard

The defense does look a lot better, but they also haven't had a real test yet or anything close to it

If Flip/Collier are going to play well, losing is tough.

Brice was going to be the reason we lost most of the 4th.

I only saw the first half of the game because I was on an airplane for the second half, but why did Spo not have Bam go at Flip down the stretch?

If anyone has watched the Heat this year Powell is crazy important for that team.
