Feeling out of place?

After watching the 2 preseason games I am feeling a little out of place? Don't get me wrong it was fun watching the game last night after 8 months of no basketball... but what team is this? where is Booze, Deron, AK, Sloan? Sure there is Memo, Sap and CJ but after spotting Howard in a number 8 jersey I wanted to look away.

Sure the team went through a massive transformation in 03-04 but we all knew Stockton and Malone were at the end of the road. This just feels like a long fall from the top from a team that was dismantled much too quickly.

P.S. Still hate O'Connor/Miller for not resigning Matthews and signing Bell instead as I believe this was the first domino. (not to mention trading players for worthless cap space)

Do you realize how well the Jazz are set up for when the punitive changes in the new CBA start to take place? Teams that are throwing 5 years to Afflalo and DeAndre Jordan are going to be FORCED to dump or renounce good players just to be legal. Those teams aren't going to be able to afford any free agents, either. Jazz should be able to sign good players cheaply, or take on a star player because it'll have cap room no other team will have.
 
I'm glad Howard took Deron's number. It's like seeing an ex with another guy, it sucks but it forces you to move on. Unless you're the guy who just doesn't get the hint.
 
I for one am just excited to see how it all plays out. There may be further changes/additions needed, but you can't do everything at once. Gotta play with what we have for a while and let them get used to each other before we really know what we have. Growing pains are ahead of us but I think with the young guys we have acquired, it'll pay off. And I don't think we are in for a 5 or 6 year rebuilding process. For us it will be half that...as long as they hang onto most of the key guys they have now.

At least you weren't on mission in Africa when stockton retired and malone went to the Lakers and no one in your family decided to tell you and you had to hear it from a greeny!!
